Search Help
The search engine on the Bronze Gallery web site will locate a match for any word or combination of words that you place in the text box and will display between 10 and 100 matches per page. It works the same as any search engine that you will use except that it will only search the Bronze Gallery web site and not the entire Internet.
The Match button marked ALL words will find a match only if all of the words you enter into the search box are located on a page (in any order). This is the same as typing a + before each word. Start by using this option and if no pages match your search then check the Find similar sounding (spelled) words box and search again before choosing the Any word match.
The button marked ANY word will find a match for any of the words you enter into the search box. You can use any of the normal search Boolean modifiers (+ - " " etc.) with this choice. Do not use common words such as "the" "of" etc. with this option as every page will have these words in them.
The button marked Phrase will chose a match only if the exact words in the exact order that you entered them are located. This is the same as placing your search criteria within quotes.
If you use capitalization a match will be returned ONLY if the capitalized letter or word is located within the page. Using all lower case will match any case (non case sensitive if all lower case). The wild card character (*) is supported and can be used with any of the above search option choices.
Placing a check in the Check Box marked Find similar sounding (spelled) words will find matches to words and names when you are not certain of the spelling. This is a very useful tool if you are not sure of the correct spelling of what you are searching for. Default for this is option is off. To turn on this feature click within the check box.
The Display drop down box lets you choose how many matches to your search are displayed on a results page. Don't worry about getting too many matches per page as the search engine is very fast.
